April 11, 2012

When I lived in Canada, April was the time of year when you KNEW that Spring was on its way, but it was still cold and wet...  my grandmother always used to say "April showers bring May flowers" and it was true - now that I am here in the Southern hemisphere, we are treading our way towards autumn, we have set the clocks back, and the breeze carries a little chill.  The sun is still warm, but you know Autumn, then winter will have its hold soon.  I love the different seasons, and what they bring.  Autumn, however, is my favorite season - and this past Easter Weekend (at least in Auckland) was glorious!

This season will also be a transitional one for Feel at Home - My little business is growing, and I am so thankful to you all for your support over the past 7 years.  It has been a journey of both product, and personal growth.  I recently had my products at the Autumn Gift Fair, where retailers come to see what they would like to put in their stores - and happily was well received! (Check out the video to see us setting up!) That means, my business has grown to the point where I now have to spend MORE time making my products and have to cut back on the markets I attend.  I am sad, and happy at  the same time.  I just have to admit, I am not super woman... and I feel like it is time for me to spend more time with my family - and be home on the weekends.

I will of course continue to do fundraising events for North Shore Hospice, and will do a few Christmas Shopping nights!  And, of course you can still purchase directly from me here on this website, and over on the Facebook shop as well.  I will be introducing you to the lovely stockists I have as well, letting you know who has what and where - as I have some great places right from Invercargill up to Waipu.... And supporting them, is still supporting me.  Of course for you who are local, you can come and visit me at home.

I will be trialling having a local Feel at Home enthusiast for a few hours per week to help me keep up as well....  and am looking forward to being able to serve you better.  You will notice the shop is looking a bit sparce - so I am working hard to get stock levels up so that nothing is out of stock for long.  I am still learning - thanks for your patience with me!

ps....  I am nearly ready to do something with the Calendula that has been steeping in the organic sunflower oil...  stay tuned!

Have you signed up to receive the Newsletter? or Joined me on Facebook?  I look forward to seeing you there!

Warm regards,
